Manufacturing & Engineering Internship – Inspection Management IT Improvements
We are looking for you, an ambitious master’s student (m/f), to support our (FAI Team) by doing an internship project in (Inspection Management IT) for our location in Terneuzen, Netherlands.

The department that will welcome you is the Fixed Asset Integrity Team within the Technical Expertise and Support organation. The FAI team aims at mechanical integrity of equipment by doing inspections and recommending specific repair follow-up. This will avoid leakages and therefore prevent process safety and reliability events.
Project description
The student will be working on several IT challenges regarding existing software tools. In a few cases the tools require updates or improvements in order to meet documentation requirements or productivity needs.
Besides updates there also is a need to implement and optimize the use of new software for better and more effective development of inspection scopes.
Finally the team needs to improve and finetune its current inspection dashboard for more focused communication to stakeholders.
The candidate will be in discussion frequently with inspectors to understand their work and their needs. Especially with regards to how they document and use current software and what needs to be done to gain efficiency and meet specific needs and requirements.
Qualifications
• You are currently studying for a mechanical engineering or IT degree or equivalent.
• You have a good working knowledge of English and preferably also in Dutch.
• You are good at analyzing and improving workprocesses
• You understand the set-up of software tools and like to improve these further.
You can start between September and October 2023 for a period of 3 to 6 months (exact timing to be discussed).
