Supply Chain Specialist (Sustainability and Contract Manufacturing)

Have you got what it takes to become our Supply Chain Specialist for Sustainability and Contract Manufacturing? This role will be based within our EMEAI Integrated Supply Chain Hub in Terneuzen (NL).

Dow has set very specific targets for our sustainability goals to be met the next couple of years. In our Packaging & Specialty Plastics business (P&SP) we want to be ahead of the game and are working already on some sustainability initiatives. Some of our new products will be manufactured at external companies. The core of this role as a supply chain planner will be helping to set up all this new supply chain flows, and take care of the balancing the supply and demand of that new products over the operational horizon, to achieve optimum product availability for our customers.

About the role:
* Help setting up new supply chain flows for new sustainable products (PCR) in collaboration with all different business of PS&P.
* Integrate other pieces of external manufacturing activities from other business of P&SP when needed.
* Generates a time-phased supply schedule to fulfill business requirements in the short-term, while considering manufacturing constraints, and meeting inventory and customer service targets.
* Serves as a local site coordinator/planner for integration of internal demand, utilities or environmental operations at a particular location.
* Routinely checks and tracks inventory quantity, slow-moving or other inventory statuses and ensures that inventory volumes meet the plan.
* Identifies, prioritizes and addresses supply issues (e.g. short-term capacity constraints, product shortage, emergency customer order received, uncovered production requirement, etc.)
* Leads collaboration with customer service, external manufacturers, logistics, third-party service providers and business partners to meet business obligations in case of unplanned events.
* Follows best practices, procedures and governance over master data.
* Supports global supply chain initiatives by interfacing with other supply chain personnel in the business and shared services.

Job requirements:
* Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or other Sciences
* You have some experience in the Supply Chain Planning field, either via work experience or internships.
* You have demonstrated affinity with Sustainability (i.e. via projects or courses).
* You have great communication skills in English.
