Sourcing Specialist

In this function our specialist sources and manages a portfolio of products or services to improve cost position and supply security in the market through application of the strategic sourcing process. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction while building knowledge of the company, processes and customers. In this role, you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others. It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team’s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.

• Manages a portfolio of products or services to improve cost position and supply security in the market through application of the strategic sourcing process
• Utilizes business acumen and analytics to drive value from the market and influence stakeholder
• Responsible for the negotiation, execution and implementation of commercial agreements and related work processes in accordance with the strategies within the commercial area and or geography
• Requires working knowledge and experience in own job discipline and broadens capabilities
• Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers
• Performs a range of assignments related to job discipline
• Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations
• Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
• Develop knowledge of the supply market and suppliers. Conduct Strategic Sourcing Projects including market analysis and the development of short and mid-term strategies
• Manage Supplier Relationships including the commercial relationship.
• Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators
• Engage with Stakeholders to clarify the scope of service, quality, volume and requirements for contract implementations and renewals
• Investigate and facilitate Quality, Service and Product Performance (QSPP)
• Analyze data to identify improvements in vendor and spend coding
• May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives locally

What skills do you have?

• Fluent English plus ANY additional European language i.e French, Spanish, German.
• Bachelors Degree (Engineering or Business)
• Knowledge of SAP
• Experience in sourcing
• Negotiation skills
