System and Network Administrator

The position

As a system and network administrator, you support our office and vessels with a wide range of IT issues. From simple helpdesk questions to complex network outages—you solve them. You’ll work in the office most of the time, but you’ll also regularly visit foreign offices with opportunities to work on exciting projects in unique locations such as China, Brazil, Nigeria and Mexico.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Providing technical support (remote and on-site)
• Managing and optimizing networks and systems
• Working with a wide range of hardware and software
• Communicating with foreign offices in fluent English
• Contributing to cybersecurity measures and securing IT environments
• Working on awesome projects both domestically and abroad

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a proactive, eager-to-learn, and solution-oriented colleague with a passion for technology.

You have:

• An IT diploma (at least MBO level 4 or equivalent)
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (both spoken and written)
• In-depth knowledge of networking (routing, switching, VLANs, etc.)
• A strong drive to stay up to date with new developments

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Linux and macOS
• Experience or interest in cybersecurity

Technical Environment:

You will work daily with:

• Windows Desktop & Server
• Exchange Server
• Veeam Backup
• Microsoft 365
• Network equipment from Cisco, HPE Aruba, and Fortinet
• NAS and SAN systems
• Wi-Fi systems (Ubiquiti, Cisco, Aerohive)
