THE ROLE

As the Manager Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) at Damen Naval within the Proposals team, you will oversee the development of high-stakes proposals for naval programs. Your role involves team leadership, resource planning, and ensuring the timely and budgeted delivery of proposal packages. You collaborate cross-functionally with various departments and provide expert advice to tender teams, and champion process optimization. Your contribution will shape the success of our department and support our commitment to excellence in maritime solutions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As the Manager Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and coach the ILS team and appraise and evaluate the team members.
• Develop and plan the resources and tools to ensure continuous improvement and further professionalization of the ILS team.
• Take charge of proposal package development for naval vessel programs, ensuring timely delivery within budget to new and existing customers.
• Communicate effectively with other departments such as Engineering and Purchasing to ensure seamless project coordination.
• Support tender teams with expert advice and review ILS components of proposals in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement best practices for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement.
• Represent Damen Naval to customers and external companies, acting as a point of contact for ILS support to other Damen entities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department's knowledge and processes, fostering a culture of learning and development.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To excel as the Manager Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

• Bachelor or Master degree in a technical study.
• At least five years of relevant experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and in in working in complex project environments and in leading/coordinating a highly skilled team.
• Experience in generating proposals for, preferably naval ship programs.
• Good command of the Dutch and English language both written and verbal.
• Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
